If the auto checkbox is checked, the application will automatically renew the token at the halfway point to expiration. This effectively means that the token is always valid.

If the challenge checkbox is checked, the application will automatically renew the token when it receives a challenge from the server and the token isn't fresh. Otherwise the current token is used. A token is considered no longer fresh at half of the expiration time.

If neither are checked, the token will not automatically renew. It can be manually refreshed by pressing the renew button.

Different combinations of the checkboxes let you test various scenarios.
